Animals of Ivory Coast
Some of the animals that live in Ivory Coast are West-African manatees, chimpanzees, pygmy hippos, duikes, buffalo, and elephant. Ivory Coast has a problem with illegal animal poaching. Many people illegaly kill manatees, and some elephants. In the habitats where manatees live, they get poisoned by chemicals in the land around them, they can get killed in large fishermen nets, the fishermen boats scare away the manatees from their homes, and they catch diseases from the humans they incounter. There are also 6 different populatiosn of manatees in Ivory Coast.
